B.W.

Eyes close, breathe in, this moment is all mine,
You walk slowly towards me, radiating sunshine.

Embrace me and hold me, kiss me softly as well,
I’m lost in this moment, my thoughts I can’t tell.

Wandering inside, you tease me, flirt, laugh, and you smile,
Pull me in once again and simply hold me a while.

You touch me, caress me, and breathe me into your arms,
Pull me slightly and tease me, exposing your charms.

Down we tumble, into covers, sheets wrap around in time,
In this moment I’m yours and you’re so perfectly mine.

Pull me closer, if possible, lacing my skin with soft kisses,
Caress me, undress me, memories lead to reminisces.

Passion swims to the surface and covers us whole,
You lead me to magic, encompass my soul.

Sweat dripping, eyes close, sheer pleasure ensues,
Hearts racing, body aching, then the lust it pursues.

You lead me to ecstasy, erupt in my veins,
I’m yours for the taking, all passion no pains.

Then I’m back in your arms, as they map out my skin,
Lips kissing, hands touching, not knowing where we begin.

Eyes piercing, lips quiver, your voice it’s so strong,
Hands caress me, arms address me, pull me in where I belong.

Dinner and coffee, speak easy, then back to my bed,
You entice me and excite me; you get deep in my head.

Milk and cookies, some ice cream, like an overgrown child,
You laugh at yourself, those eyes dancing so wild.

Then the passion consumes us, the need takes us whole,
In the throes of enticement, we lose all control.

The moments then after, starring into your eyes,
I am lost there for hours, fearing goodbyes.

But then it’s all over, you wave and you’re gone,
I’ve lost you again, and it all feels so wrong.

The room now feels empty; my bed feels too large,
I’ve lost all control now; I’m no longer in charge.

So I lay my head back down, and I choke back some tears,
Letting love come back in was my greatest of fears.

So instead I bask in the memories, and though it takes me a while,
I close my eyes and breathe in, and simply remember your smile.

I linger on your eyes, and breathe you in off my skin,
Hold onto you for a moment, before I let it begin.

Then I let you go, as I breathe in the fresh air,
I love you, as always, but to tell you, I don’t dare.

As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movements stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone...

It is only a novel... or, in short, only some work in which the greatest powers of the mind are displayed, in which the most thorough knowledge of human nature, the happiest delineation of its varieties, the liveliest effusions of wit and humor, are conveyed to the world in the best-chosen language...

Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I yet have heard, it seems to me the most strange that men should fear; Seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.
